
Rod has enjoyed yoga for over 32 years. He qualified as an Iyengar yoga teacher in
1992,inspired by Derek Ireland, he moved on to Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga, enjoying the
focus on breath and strong physical challenges. He's completed teacher training
courses with both John Scott and David Swenson and for over 10 years worked with
most of the other leading exponents of Ashtanga yoga. Early 2000s he discovered the
teachings of New Zealand based Donna Farhi and more recently Hatha yogi Bob Smith
from Seattle. A Buddhist meditator for over 45 years, Rod infuses his unique, dynamic yoga sequences with mindfulness of breath and body. Rod has taught yoga internationally for 26 years. He enjoys working with students at all levels of experience and regularly runs complete beginners courses.

Ali began yoga in 1997 with Iyengar classes. A year later she was inspired by the flow and breath practice of Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga. She describes her practice as continually evolving. After having completed Donna Farhi's Advanced Yoga Teacher Training in 2008 she began including developmental movement patterns and engaging the different bodily systems within her own practice and teaching. More recently she has been incorporating movement patterns from the Alexander Technique.
'Over the years I have been privileged to work and study with John Scott, Rod Watson, Richard Freeman, Gerry Kielty, Liz Lark, Marika Cominos, Donna Farhi, Bob Smith and Ki McGraw.'
Ali is also a specialist teacher for students with additional learning needs.

Nicola is a new addition to the Nelson yoga scene - fresh from Liverpool, UK. Her passion is to share her intimate knowledge of yin-yang yoga. Nicola has practiced for over 12 years and trained with P.R Mohanan and completed teacher training at the International Shiva Yoga Centre. Nicola’s philosophy is “yoga for health, wellness & personal growth”.
Karolina began her yoga journey at the age of 14! Her exploring spirit led her to
India where she completed her 200hr Hatha Yoga Teacher Training. Since then her
personal practice and teaching has been inspired by some outstanding Iyengar,
Ashtanga, Vinyasa and Hatha yoga teachers. She is currently exploring the teachings
of Bob Smith and Ki McGraw. Karolina also has a Diploma in Sport Science and
is a qualified massage therapist.
